Why do we celebrate SysAdmin Appreciation Day?
Most of us have unintentionally neglected the time and efforts put in by our SysAdmin friends to help run our IT world smoothly. While we do regret that we don‘t thank them enough, we don‘t particularly take the first step to make sure that their well-deserved ‘Thanks’ reaches them.
ManageEngine‘s ‘‘Time to say ‘Thanks’ ’’ campaign encourages all users in IT to come forward and say something about their SysAdmin Team / Members, share stories or at least convey their long-pending "Thanks".
What is the contest about? How does it work?
- As a first step in showing your appreciation to your SysAdmin Team, you nominate your SysAdmin Member or a Team of 5 Members for the contest by filling up a simple form.
- After that, you can encourage your friends to join you in thanking the nominated team member(s) by sharing the nominations on Facebook, Twitter or via sysadmin-day@manageengine.com.
- Your colleagues visiting the nomination page can post “Thank You” or click "Thank You" buttons to express their gratitude.
What’s in it for me?
Sure, we respect that thought! Tell us your funny, touching, frustrating story with the SysAdmin. If your story is the most popular of the lot and if your team is the winning team, you get a gift too! That’s not so bad now, is it? Come on, let’s get thanking!

When do you announce the winners?
Though we’d love to run the contest all through the year, July 27th is the SysAdmin Appreciation Day. And that’s when we will announce the winners.
There’s hardly anytime. So submit your entries if you haven’t yet!
Why are email ids mandatory?
Just so we know that every entry is legitimate. Also, you wouldn‘t want to miss any announcements about the prizes, would you?
- The winner(s) can choose the prize from the list of prizes mentioned.
- If they choose, every member of the winning team is eligible for a Nexus 7/Skydiving.
- BestBuy Giftcard is available only in the USA.
- AMC 1 Year Subscription is available only in the USA.
- Skydiving is limited to certain venues only. Please contact us for further information about the same.
Terms and Conditions:
- Eligibility: This contest is open only to the residents of United States of America, Canada, Australia and United Kingdom. Employees (or friends and family members) of ManageEngine, a division of Zoho Corp Private Limited are not eligible to participate in the contest.
- Sponsor: The contest is sponsored by ManageEngine, a division of Zoho Corp Private Limited.
- Entry Period: The contest begins on 23rd July 2012 and will remain open till 11:59 PDT, August 17th 2012.
- Summary of the contest: Nominate your favourite SysAdmin or your SysAdmin team, with a brief story about how they helped you. The submissions will then be put up on the contest website for voting.
- Determining the Winners: All the submissions made will be put up for voting on the contest's website. The entry with maximum number of likes and reactions will be declared the winner.
- Contest Results: The winners will be declared on the 20th of August through email.
- Prizes:
- The winner can choose a prize from the list of prizes mentioned.
- A team can contain no more than a maximum of 5 people.
- If they choose, every member of the winning team is eligible for a Nexus 7/Skydiving.
- Best Buy gift card is available only in the USA.
- AMC 1 Year Subscription card is available only in the USA.
- Skydiving is limited to certain venues only. Contact us for further information about the same.
- Disqualification: Any entry containing malicious, violent, racist or explicit content will be removed. Entries that are incomplete, or do not adhere to the terms and conditions will be disqualified.

- All content submitted as part of the competition will remain a property of the entrant. ManageEngine, a division of Zoho Corp Private Limited does not own any content. However, submissions made as part of the competition can be shared by ManageEngine, a division of Zoho Corp Private Limited on forums such as Facebook or Twitter.

- The prizes are non-transferable.
